Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Our branch of cats protection was founded in 1988 and covers the areas between Thamesmead, S E London and Meopham, Kent. We are always happy to welcome new members and are always looking for loving homes for our cats in care.
Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. We work in three main areas trying to achieve this:
1. Homing - Finding good homes for cats and kitten in need, please visit our Adopt A Cat section to see the cats which are currently looking for new loving homes.
2. Neutering - Supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats and kittens
3. Information - Improving people's understanding of cats and their care by working with the public providing information and advice. We can provide leaflets and information on the following: Thinking Of Getting A Cat?, Welcoming Your New Cat Home, Caring For Your Cat, Feeding, Neutering, Feline Behaviour, Cats And Children, Cats And Allergies, Moving Home and many different Veterinary Guides for different diseases such as Hyperthyroidism.
