About this Lost Dog

PSA🗣️ Feel free to share to bring awareness❤️‍🩹 $1,000 REWARD💥 if found. 504-912-0799 Today marks day 29 my dog Dewy went missing. I wholeheartedly, appreciate all the messages, concerns and even help to find him. Honestly haven’t said much because my only concern was to hopefully get him home but, I believe it’s only right to answer the question I’m mostly asked and more so to make others aware of what happened to prevent someone from having to go through it. I boarded my dog for the weekend to be cared for by Woofred’s Dog training while I was out of town. My dog was supposed to be brought home on 8/28/23 at 9am. However, on August 28, 2023 I received a phone call from Woodfred’s Dog Training at 1pm stating my dog got loose at 10am (later found out to be 9am) after an altercation with another dog in the possession of his trainer. The morning of 8/28 Woofred’s trainer stopped at his parents house in Woodmere (for reasons unknown) before bringing my dog back. Frustrating enough, Dewy is not in a familiar area, being that this was not where he was boarded for the weekend. To my knowledge and what is being told to me, Dewy had his normal green collar on with name tag and his prong collar which was attached to his camo leash at the time the trainer let the leash go leading to my dog going missing. He was last seen turning right on Alex korman from Mercer on 8/28. I felt safe being that Dewy previously completed at home training with Woofred’s Dog Training and has also been boarded with them about 5 times since I adopted him in 2021. They board their customer’s dogs at their homes. I entrusted Woofred’s Dog training to keep my dog safe and provide a home for my dog when I was away considering thats what I paid for. I expected him home at 9am per the contractual agreement. I am at a complete loss for words and disbelief in all this. I understand accidents happen, but there needs to be accountability to uphold standards and procedures. Sadly, this post will not bring our dog back, and in time my daughter and I will move passed this but I would be doing a disservice to anyone needing to board their family’s pet by not sharing my experience. So with that being said, please do your due diligence when considering the risk you take when selecting a boarding place for your animals and take all precautions necessary.
