We found Cleo after walking around some of the neighborhoods surrounding ours. We happened to pass some ladies and their kids working on something in a garage or storage area across the bridge from where we live. It turns out that they actually live down the block from us and based on her photo said that they had seen Cleo under their car last night and that she had run towards the railroad tracks at the end of our neighborhood. Based on the location they gave us, we are able to search a wooded area that is not possible to search at night. I went back to the area a few hours later with canned cat food and found Cleo at the edge of the wooded area by the railroad tracks. She was scared, meowing, skinnier than usual and dusty. She is an inside/outside cat but we think that something scared her into that area of the neighborhood and she was too afraid to get back home. She was missing for ten days. We are so grateful to all the friends, neighbors and kind strangers who helped us get Cleo back home again.
