About this Found Dog

We named him Solow. In the stillness of the night, a dog wanders the streets, his eyes haunted by the memories of a life once filled with love, His home, a distant memory, lies far behind him, lost to the passage of time and the whims of fate. With each weary step, he searches for traces of the family he once knew, their voices fading echoes in his mind. His ears perk up as he hears children laughing, but they're not HIS children. They are gone, leaving behind only the empty void of abandonment and the ache of loneliness. As he roams the streets, he encounters the kindness of strangers, offering food and shelter in his time of need. Yet, the warmth they offer cannot replace the love he lost, nor mend the broken pieces of his shattered heart. For he is a dog who has lost everything, his home, his family, and the sense of belonging that once defined him. But in his eyes, there remains a glimmer of hope, a silent plea for a second chance at happiness and love. SoLow needs a Fur-ever home. All rescues and shelters are full. Found roaming Windmill Cove. Likely dumped/abandoned. He was attacked by other big dogs. He's an intact male, age unknown. Brindle pit/dachshund or pit/bassett mix who's been great with kids, and other dogs. Today, however, he showed interest in chasing a cat. He's shown no food aggression, despite being very skinny. And when I debrided ,cleansed, and shaved his wounds he never grumbled, only a whimper when I clipped a sensitive spot. He's being treated with antibiotcs , good food and love. He's got to be the nicest homeless dog I've ever met! I've never heard him bark once!
