Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

My min pin got out. I have been searching for him for the last 12 hours. He is black and missing his front top teeth. Also prone to seizures. He was last seen at gray branch rd.
Lost our family cat on 1/12. last seen at 2809 Rush Creek Rd. McKinney, Tx 75072.
His name is Salem. He's a standard black cat, yellow eyes, short hair, neutered, but isn't chipped and doesn't have a collar. If anyone has seen him near the Stonebridge Ranch neighborhood, or possibly further away, please reach out to me at 714-786-9412.
Thank you!
My ex had my son and his Great Pyr over the summer and it was lost. We are hoping someone picked him up. He won't tell me exactly when he went missing. He was in Van Alstyne, Tx. Name: Rocky. White with Brown facial mask. Dew claws. Should have a collar with a tag with our phone number but I'm not sure anymore. About 90lbs. Wider head than a normal Pyr.
My dog Finn has been missing for the last few days. He was last seen at home on July 2 at 1am. He went through our doggie door and dug under our fence. He is a tan and white long hair Schnauzer/Terrier mix. He should be wearing a black and white collar with paw prints. He should have a name tag on with my phone number. He is shy and skittish. He will come to a female versus a male. We live in Mckinney and that is where he was last seen.
