Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Oklahoma
(report broken link)
Imagine a world where every adoptable animal had a safe, loving and forever home. Each year millions of healthy and well-behaved animals are destroyed in shelters simply because there are not enough homes for all of them. Saving Lives for us begins with working with our community shelters to provide a second chance for animals.
At Partnering for Pets, shelter animals come first. Pets in our local shelters are wonderful and lovable, and we encourage potential pet parents to adopt a shelter pet when considering making the important step to adding a pet to the family. Many people are hesitant to visit a shelter. Our volunteers bring pets from the shelter that are vaccinated and ready to go home to adoption venues giving them an opportunity to be seen outside the shelter environment.
Partnering for Pets is a non-profit organization funded entirely by donations from caring individuals, community-minded businesses, and gifts and grants from charitable foundations. We receive no funding from the government, United Way, or national animal welfare organizations. We are a foster-based organization meaning that we have NO paid staff and do not own or rent a facility which helps keep our operating costs very low. PFP relies upon its network of passionate volunteers and pet foster parents dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the pets and people in our communities. The majority of donation dollars goes toward helping homeless animals – every pet is tested, vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed or neutered before adoption. Some need special medical care. We squeeze every penny to help as many as we can. Please consider a donation today. They are depending on YOU!
