Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Ohio

The Paws Cause Rescue was started by a few like-minded individuals who wanted to broaden the rescue picture to help even more animals. Our first few rescues were four kittens rescued by someone who had the help of All About Pet Care veterinary clinic. The clinic helped ensure the kittens had health, shots, surgery, and microchips at a reduced rate.
Our Rescue eventually expanded to six people and started a Facebook group to grow a community and help get our name out there. As the need for us grew, we applied for and were granted 501c3 status which we still have to this day. We have volunteers that make it possible to adopt an average of about 300 felines a year.
We employ social media, Petfinder, Kitty Brew Cat Cafe, and PetSmart on top of our volunteers to be successful. We also still have All About Pet Care and their sister clinic Hunter Pet Care helping and rooting us on!
