Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Ohio
(report broken link)
DASH is a non-profit organization dedicated solely to the health and well-being of animals. We rescue dogs, cats, horses, and other companion animals. Some of these animals are surrendered by owners struggling with financial issues, health issues, and broken homes. We also rescue from full high-kill shelters where most animals are on their last day, considered "unadoptable" due to the need for expensive medical care or struggling with behavioral issues due to the stress of shelter life. We bring them back to health, spay and neuter them, and bring them up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. We are dedicated to finding each one of them a new, loving, FOREVER home. Our application process is extensive so that we can ensure that our rescue animals will be given love, shelter, and consistent vet care throughout their lives.
