Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Maryland

Charm City Animal Rescue is a 501c3 organization headquartered in Cumberland, MD. We have an ever-growing network of foster homes based in and around Baltimore, MD that enable us to save and adopt out almost 300 cats per year! We do not get government funding, but rely solely on donations, fundraisers, and grants to support our efforts.
CCAR rescues animals from shelters and the streets, and we focus on cats in crisis, especially those cats with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (wobbly cats.) We also provide help with trap, neuter, release (TNR) projects, and assisting owners with getting low cost spay and neuter appointments.
