Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Best Friends Dog Rescue was established in 2001. We are a private non-profit, no-kill facility that receives no government funding. We are supported solely by private donations. Rescuing puppies/dogs that are abandoned, mistreated or unwanted. We are a licensed adoption agency that adopt 100% of our rescues to loving homes. All of our dogs are veterinary checked, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. We target low income areas in our community, offering spay and neuter assistance. Please contact us if you can volunteer, foster or donate.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create a community recognized for responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of animals through basic pet wellness and actively promoting spay and neuter services to reduce pet over population.
