Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Arkansas
(report broken link)
Needy Paws Animal Shelter, an extension of River Valley Humane Society, has been providing sanctuary for sick, injured, homeless and abused animals since 1997. We are proudly a no-kill shelter, working hard to place healthy, adoptable pets into loving, forever homes!
Needy Paws Animal Shelter is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. We receive no government funding.
To maintain our status as a no-kill shelter, we implement managed intake. Animal intakes are by appointment only. While we are unable to provide space for every animal, we share ample resources, advice, and tips to assist pet owners who can no longer care for their pets as well as individuals who have taken in stray cats or dogs.
