Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Arizona

Moon & Stars Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3), Non-Profit, volunteer animal rescue organization serving Tucson, and the surrounding areas of AZ. We are dedicated to rescuing animals who are left homeless, orphaned, animals in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, animals given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.
We are dedicated to educating the public about the importance of spay/neuter, keeping their pets vaccinated, and the value of micro-chipping.
We strive to work with area shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets.
We are determined to keep administrative expenses extremely low so that virtually every dollar taken in goes directly to the care of the animals. Our group remains interested in and committed to the welfare of the animals beyond the adoption process.
Animals in our care will be spayed or neutered, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes.
We assist animals in distress without regard to age or ease of placement. To the extent our finances allow, animals in the greatest need take priority.
We are a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to restoring the animals under our care to physical and emotional health as they await placement in loving, responsible homes.
