Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

2nd Chance Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; we are dedicated to saving neglected, abandoned, and fearful dogs. We also work with our local shelters in saving the “extreme medical” dogs that are scheduled to be euthanized due to their injuries. We provide the proper medical, shelter, and a safe environment, in order to help them overcome their insecurities and regain their trust in humanity.
We have opened our hearts to them with the hope and goal of finding them their forever homes. Unfortunately, some dogs have been abused and/or neglected to the point where they no longer trust humans - for those dogs, our rescue is their sanctuary, to live out the rest of their days, loved and secure.
