About this Dog
Meet Cashew! Cashew and his 8 siblings were born to mom Peanut in our care. The pups' DNA test determined that they are mostly chihuahua and boston terrier, with a medley of other small/medium breeds as well. They will likely grow to be small-medium adult dogs. Cashew is the biggest pup of the litter. They are currently 5 weeks old and will be ready to leave mom at 8 weeks of age. Our little nuts are all lovely pups with great temperaments. They are tiny and fragile little pups and will need proper socialization and training to become good canine citizens. We are looking for families who are dedicated to helping their pups develop into healthy and well adjusted dogs. Due to their small and fragile size, we prefer to place pups only with families who have children older than 8 years of age. For larger litters our adoption process is as follows: We review applications in the order they are received. We set up meet and greets with the puppies in order. The first applicant will have first pick of the litter, the second applicant will have second pick of the litter etc. We will set a date and time for each applicant to meet the pups. Once the pups are 8 weeks old, they are ready to begin their trial adoptions. Our trial adoption period is two weeks and that gives applicants sufficient time to ensure the pup is indeed a good match. Applications can be submitted via our website savinggreatanimals.org. We respond to all applications within 48 hours. The puppies will have received their first puppy vaccinations, microchips and deworming. They will be spayed and neutered between 8 and 12 months, which is included in the adoption fee. Adoption fee for the pups is $595.
