About this Dog

8 yo 03/20/2017 Neutered I've been fostering Abbie for almost 2 years. I'm a former caregiver and got her to try and help 2 senior citizen homes. Former owners said they couldn't care for her anymore due to their health issues. I got her for my client as a birthday present. She did fine at the meet and greet with him but after a few days she decided she wants me as her caregiver also. I'm starting a new job and am unable to care for her anymore. My client crossed the rainbow and I'm living in my car now. I never planned on having a large dog and especially this long. I've been trying to rehome her for most of the time I've had her. It's getting very difficult please help find her a home. I'm resorting to euthanasia soon if I can't find her a home by the end of May. I'm at the end of my rope. Abbie is an 8 yo special needs AKC registered German Shepherd that needs her furever home. Spayed Not aggressive She doesn't pull when leash walking but she might wrap you in her leash. I'm a lefty so she typically stays on the left but strays off to sniff things. She's not a resource protector. Not a runner She loves attention Prefer a female owner Shes very much an introvert & will entertain herself with a tennis ball floating in the water or bouncing off the cement. She loves keep away, sticks, balls, frisbee, squeeky toys. She loves apples, carrots, kale & broccoli items. She listens well & isn't a runner at all. She will never go far. She loves attention. Good happy and goofy temperament. She's shy at first but really will go to anyone that gives her snacks or gives her attention. Willing to travel & meet. Please help

How will receive the contribution?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the , thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming 's contribution here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the ’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
