About this Dog
JETT - 1- 5 years old, 55 pounds, nervous at first but will warm up in time. Jett arrived at VBACAC as a stray and very scared. This whole shelter environment does not sit well with him. He has deep black fur, big brown eyes and a warm smile. It took a hot minute for Jett to meet me and it wasn’t happening in the kennel. Outside he’s much more relaxed and curious about what’s going on. He sits for treats. Someone reinforced this prior to his becoming a shelter resident. Jett does enjoy running and I’m betting once he is fully settled in, he’ll be a great companion. Until then, it’s wise to go slow and allow him to get used to everything. Remember he’s entering new home with a new routine and new family and friends. Oh yeah! Don’t forget your family and friends are still strangers to him. You protect him by telling others to allow him to greet them first. There’s also no need for strangers to pet your new dog right away either. Jett is looking for a family willing to give him time to settle in and get comfortable. Time and patience will be good. Jett is currently in a back kennel waiting to meet you. Come on in and just ask to meet him.
