About this Dog
Maurice had a great dog Mom once upon a time, but through a series of tragic events became unable to care for herself or for him. He went to training instead of being euthanized. His training ended over one week ago. He did truly AMAZING in training. The trainer even said he thought he could be around kids and smaller dogs as long as he was introduced properly, and his training not thrown to the wayside. I have all the videos of weekly training and will attach the two last ones where he is out on the town with his trainer. I did find him a home for a few years. Happy home. Best dog friend named Linus. Good Dad. There was an incident that he was not involved in, Linus was. In this incident a dog lost a leg and there were kids there, and DCS became involved. One of the kids mentioned that Maurice had an incident with a cat in the past and he was given 30 days to be re-homed. He is not malicious, but he is a dog. He has a sweet demeanor and is very good at cuddling. When we could not find him a home his Dad refused to throw him in a shelter and was going to have him put down to spare him. I chose instead to have him dropped of at Ridgeside K-9 for training. I fully believed I could find him something in that time. He is currently still there being boarded at $50 daily. This is unsustainable, and his time is almost up, as much as it will kill me, I will not throw him in a shelter and break his spirit. I know he will make a great companion for someone.
