Zoinks is a black kitten who was found with his brother Jeepers as a stray. He was born with only one working eye; his left eye is small, a condition called microphthalmos. The vet says he may or may not have vision in the small eye. While Zoinks is a little shy at first, he quickly warms up and is a purr machine. He loves pets and even belly rubs. Zoinks and Jeepers are bonded and must be adopted together. These boys are surprisingly calm for "teenagers;" they love to play, especially with a wand toy, but most of the day they just nap and chill. They are also very gentle -- no scratching or nipping like most kittens. Because they are still shy, they would do best in a quiet home. But if you're willing to give them some love and time, they will certainly blossom into cuddly lovebugs. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zoinks was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zoinks’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Zoinks’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zoinks’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
