About this Dog
Duke is a very sweet dog, who needs a quiet household. It takes him a while to become acclimated to new people. He is currently in a foster home with a wonderful man who came to visit him here at the shelter multiple times to spend some time with him before he was ready to take him home. Duke is very happy in his home and loves to explore the yard. He has discovered that Duke does not like to be left alone for very long. He does not tear things up or destroy anything, he just gets nervous and shakes when he's alone for an extended period of time. We would like his permanent home to have someone home most of the time (work from home or retired) to keep him company during the day. Since he does not do well meeting new people he should not be walked in a busy community where strangers might want to come up and pet him. He will either need a backyard where he can safely run and play or live somewhere there is minimal walking traffic. Duke is a good dog and it is definitely worth the extra time it takes to get to know him :)

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family.
