About this Dog
Hi there! Let me tell you my story....My name is Buddy and when I came to FMAR as a stray, you could see my ribs because I was so skinny and my feet were so swollen that I couldn't walk. FMAR has taken wonderful care of me and I've gained some much needed weight and my feet have gotten so much better. My bouncy spirit is through the roof!!! I get very excited to greet people and seek all the attention I can possibly get, but after a few minuets I settle in just fine. I am potty trained, but I will need frequent potty breaks when left out of the crate. I sleep in my crate at night (with a bed, blanket, & a few toys) and I have free roam during the day. Occasionally, I lay down in my crate for a nap during the afternoon, but most of the time I keep myself entertained by playing with my toys. I am really great about keeping out of things I shouldn't get into when unsupervised. I enjoy walks, and I could make a great jogging partner, but even just running around a fenced in backyard would be wonderful for me. So far I only know sit, but I am super food motivated and love to impress so I am certain I can learn much more! I have yet to play with another dog here at FMAR, but with a proper introduction I could possibly go home with a brother or sister. If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. I am neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $250, which helps cover the cost of the medical care I have received. **Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

Adopt Buddy and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Buddy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Buddy's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Buddy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Buddy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buddy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buddy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Buddy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buddy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
