About this Dog
Animal Profile: Meet sweet Sage! She was found wandering on rural roads in Oakville with her sister in late February of this year. She had a frayed rope tied around her neck, but no owners came forward during her stray hold. Sage was adopted by a family in Oakville that owned a working farm with free-ranging chickens, cattle, pigs, 3 other dogs and outdoor cats. She was well behaved with all the animals and very friendly with the grandchildren who visited frequently with their personal canine companions. Unfortunately, Sage was a little concerned for her piglets safety whenever they were left unattended, and ended up carrying them into the yard several times. None of the piglets were harmed, but the family was concerned there could be an accident at some point. Sage found herself in need of a new home when the owners decided they couldn't make enough changes to their farm setup to keep her separated from the pigs at all times. Foster Update: Sage is such a sweet girl. She’s pretty mellow and easy going. On her adventures into town she happily greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and happy kisses. She is content to sit and watch the world go by, and confident enough to walk into dog friendly business establishments like she owned the place. Sage has been good in her crate, and potty trained. Due to spending the last 6 months as a farm dog, her leash manners could use some brushing up but it won't take long for this smart girl to get with the program. Sage is very dog friendly and isn’t phased by the horses or barn kitties on her fosters property. She adores her people and loves to be the center of attention. She will make a wonderful addition to one lucky family. Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes her spay, Rabies, DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. They are being fostered in the greater Seattle area (Oakville) and are now available for adoption.

Adopt Sage and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sage's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Sage's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sage, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sage's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sage was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sage’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sage’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sage’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
