About this Dog
Meet Carter. This scruffy little guy came from an owner who was not properly caring for him. He was crated in the garage for several months after his owner had a new baby and thankfully a family member became concerned for his welfare and reached out to Worthy Dog for help. We know he’s going to be a popular pup and the best is yet to come for him. Carter is now in a foster home with a mom, a teen son, and two dogs. He does well as part of a pack but is best paired with an active pup with a similar passion for play. Carter was anxious when he first arrived, which is understandable coming from living in isolation, but after some time to settle in he is now a more relaxed pup and his cute, happy personality is shining through. While he’s still an active and playful pup, he also appreciates chill time. He ends each evening curled up with his foster mom on the couch watching TV. Carter is crate-trained and sleeps all night in the crate without a peep. His foster mom works from home so she doesn’t use it much during the day but will crate him if she leaves for any extended period. Carter has done well with potty training once he figured out the routine. He never has accidents in his crate and will need more frequent potty breaks when he’s in a new home environment. Carter loves to go on walks and his foster mom practices with him daily. He will still bark at dogs sometimes, but he does not react to people, runners, or bikers, so his leash skills have improved but are a work in progress. This active and playful boy needs an owner who understands the Terrier breed. He needs someone to give him structure and routine and be committed to his daily walks and playtime. Carter is passionate about life and is best paired with a fun, active family, and another playful pup in the home would be ideal, but not required — he’s confident enough to be an only dog. This cutie is sure to add a little energy to your home and entertain you. He’ll be coming to the DC metro area in October. Apply today! Adopt Carter and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Carter's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Carter's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Carter, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Carter's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Carter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Carter’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Carter’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Carter’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
