About this Dog
***Maggie is currently at our rescue in Georgia and available for adoption out of state provided transportation and certain other requirements are met. An application for Maggie's adoption can be submitted at socorescue.com (No need to register or login). Questions about Maggie and/or our adoption policy should be sent to [email protected]; please do not call the rescue's phone number.*** Maggie was at a small, city animal control facility when Scott Bennett first saw her. Scott had been at the shelter to rescue a mom dog and her puppies who were scheduled to be euthanized. While Maggie would have been the only dog at the shelter after Scott left with the mom and pups, the city's strict 5-day hold policy meant that she would loose her life if no one came for her within the next 24 hours. While visiting with Maggie, who had been impounded as a stray, Scott sensed that she was pregnant, even though she didn't exhibit a swollen belly or other tell-tale signs that she was expecting. Scott took Maggie home with him that day and within two months discovered that his hunch was right after Maggie delivered TEN beautiful puppies! Maggie has always displayed a very gentle, affectionate and calm personality. She's instantly friends with everyone she meets, including other dogs, and doesn't seem to have anything but love to give. She will make an excellent choice for a family looking for a dog they can trust around their children and one who'll instantly become a beloved and cherished family member. Maggie has been spayed, kept up to date on her annual vaccines, de-wormings and preventative care since arriving at SoCo Rescue. She did recently test positive for heartworms and is scheduled to start her treatments in mid-September, 2024. She has shown to have some house training experience but may need a refresher course once in her new home. ***We would greatly welcome a foster home that would allow Maggie a quiet, peaceful place to stay while she undergoes her heartworm treatment, which is approx. 90 days. SoCo Rescue will supply all of her needs. Contact us at [email protected] if interested in fostering Maggie.***

Adopt Maggie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Maggie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Maggie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Maggie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Maggie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maggie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maggie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Maggie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maggie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
