About this Dog
Meet happy Petey! Petey is an approximately 2 1/2-year-old, 11- pound Georgia boy. He’s probably a Jack Russell Terrier mix. His markings are so cool - and we adore his all-black head with white chin and belly polkadots. He loves all dogs, including much bigger ones. He has fallen in love with his 45-pound foster dog sister - maybe it’s because of their shared GA roots. He also does great with his 90 pound Rottweiler foster sister and human teenager foster sister. He even likes to be picked up and carried around! Petey loves all people, and though he hasn't been around kids with our rescue, we think he would be fine with them. He hasn't been around cats in our rescue. Petey is an entertaining little guy, his little nubby tail wags with excitement. He is very joyful and jumps in circles and even follows people around in his foster home with cute little attention seeking barks, but so far isn’t a heavy barker. He enjoys chewing on Benebones. He likes to run and play in the backyard in short spurts, but is also happy to chill out on the couch. A fence is not required for him, but if he’s an only dog he needs some small amounts of exercise and stimulation. General behavior: he rides well in a car, he’s getting used to the leash - he’s not bad, we think it just confuses him. He’s pretty much crate trained, whines a little bit at first but has started sleeping through the night in the crate. He prefers his GA foster sister next to him, or to be in the same room as the family. He shows no interest in the swimming pool and sat still for his first bath. Petey is mostly house trained, with a bit of marking in the house so far - the smells of countless fosters of the past are just so exciting! Hopefully this will go away soon as he settles in but patience with the finishing touches on housebreaking is necessary. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and are looking for a happy, friendly little guy, Petey may just be your man! Please complete an app and tell us more about your family.

Adopt Petey and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Petey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Petey's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Petey, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Petey's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Petey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Petey’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Petey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Petey’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
