About this Dog
KYANI NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Kyani Best Guess for Breed: Beagle and terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of September 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 17 lbs as of 9/7/24; she is still growing! Gets Along With: Kyani does well with other dogs and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog due to her shyness. We would be cautious placing her in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare shy dogs with their level of energy or noise. Children would need to be supervised closely to not leave doors open and should never walk the dog without an adult holding the leash. We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant. We have tested her with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that she could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! Currently Living at: Puerto Rico shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get on a freedom flight up here! Special adoption considerations: Kyani was very shy and scared when she arrived in her Puerto Rico shelter. Dogs from Puerto Rico already have a huge adjustment to make when they arrive in the DC area, and with Kyani's shyness, she will need extra patient and loving adopters who understand she will need support to acclimate to her new environment. She needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog who will help show her how to dog. Kyani is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweet girl is shy and hadn't seen enough of the world when she arrived in a shelter in Puerto Rico. She wants nothing more than to trot through the world with all the confidence of a well-loved dog. Long sniffy walks, romps in the parks, all the adventures her humans can dream up - that is what she wants most of all. She has so many adoring gazes, so much love to offer her family. What do you say? Are you the soft landing Kyani needs? Are you the one who will get the most amazing, most loyal companion in return? What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Adopt Kyani and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Kyani's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Kyani's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Kyani, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Kyani's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kyani was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kyani’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Kyani’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kyani’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
