About this Dog
09/26/2024 1:49 p.m.Here's Henry's RFRD Academy Report Card: First Day/Night:Henry did well during his first night with us. To help him settle in, we allowed him to decompress in a quieter space, away from the communal area of dogs. This approach was essential, as he arrived more anxious than the other dogs.Personality Development:As we approach the third week, Henry has begun to slowly reveal his personality. He has shown significant progress, displaying much less reactivity, especially towards male handlers. Itâs heartening to see the trust he is starting to develop with us.Skills Learned:We are currently focusing on several key training areas: - Leash Pressure and Guidance: Henry is learning to respond to leash pressure, which is helping him become more confident on walks.- Calmness at the Front Door: We are working on teaching him to remain calm when entering and exiting the home, which will help manage his excitement.- Engagement: Henry is beginning to engage more during training sessions, showing curiosity and willingness to participate.- Basic Obedience Fundamentals: He is picking up essential commands and foundational skills at his own pace.- Crate Introductions: Henry is adjusting well to crate training, starting to view it as a safe and comfortable space.- Neutrality Around Dogs, People, and the Outside Environment: We are working on helping him remain calm and neutral in various situations, which is crucial for his confidence.Ideal Home/Adopter: Henry would do best in a home without young children or small pets. He would thrive in a slower-paced household, where a family has the patience and time to allow him to adjust at his own pace. Henry is a balanced energy dog, meaning he enjoys both running and relaxing. A patient and understanding family would be the perfect fit for Henry, ensuring he feels secure and loved as he continues to grow and develop.08/30/24 05:47DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today was such a great day! I got to go on SVPP Shelter Day Out after being in the shelter since December! I was patient while my friend harnessed me and hopped right into the car. I was a little anxious in the car since itâs been a while since Iâve been in one, but my friend gave me treats and even a bully stick, yummy. My new friend took me on a nice long walk through a neighborhood with lots to see and smell. Dogs approaching in my space make me nervous, but my friend knows me well and gave me space. I got to see a lot of dogs and still feel safe so I never barked! My favorites were all the smells and the awesome ball on a rope toy my friend brought for me to carry around. I also loved the break in the shade and rolling in the grass and sniffing out treats. Afterwards, my friend even surprised me with a tasty pup cup! Today was the best!Three Words to Describe Me are: Happy, Handsome, SmartNotes from My Walker: I had such a nice day with Henry! He was a very good, happy boy throughout our day! He was patient and easy to harness and hopped right into the car. He was a little anxious in the car, but he thoroughly enjoyed the treats I gave him in the back seat. He was more relaxed on the way back but still was eager to exit the car.We went to a lovely neighborhood along Santa Teresa and went for a really long walk. I know Henry prefers space from other dogs so we kept about 2 houses or the residential street between us and other dogs to give him the best first dog day out and he was perfect! He needed no management from seeing other dogs as long as he had space, and we saw a lot of dogs! I started using treats just to build up some positive associations with seeing dogs. Henry walked great on the harness, with some tension at first and then with a loose leash. We also saw walkers, runners, bicycles, and cars and Henry passed all politely. I know he loves balls so I brought a tennis ball on a rope toy and he was so thrilled and carried it proudly for most of the walk. We also took breaks at a local park and relaxed in the shade. Henry loved rolling around in the grass with his ball or sniffing out treats in the grass! Heâs such a happy guy!Afterwards, we got a pup cup and he was a good boy in the drive-thru! Henry is food and ball motivated and smart! He knows sit and down, is a fetch expert, and would love to learn more. He will make someone a great buddy!

Adopt HENRY and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, HENRY's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is HENRY's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the HENRY, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming HENRY's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and HENRY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, HENRY’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the HENRY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, HENRY’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
