About this Dog
Meet Rocky! Handsome Rocky is a playful pup who is seeking an active family that will involve him in day-to-day activities. Rocky loves to play fetch and enjoys the company of other dogs. In Rocky’s foster home, there are two adult dogs (larger than Rocky), and he enjoys some rough and tumble time with them. Our best assessment, NO GUARANTEE, is that Rocky is a shepherd/heeler mix and currently about 11-12 weeks old. We anticipate, THOUGH CANNOT GUARANTEE, that Rocky will be in the medium (possibly lower end of large) range when fully grown. Right now, Rocky is in a mouthy puppy phase (which is typical of any puppy his age). There is no aggression whatsoever, but he has a “hard mouth” (meaning he sometimes doesn’t understand that he is applying a little too much pressure). This is not at all uncommon (especially for certain breeds), and his foster mom is working on teaching him better behavior/manners. Of course, it is a work in progress (as are all puppies!!). For this reason though, & given what we assess his breed mix to be, we are seeking a home without small children. We also will give preference to applicants who are experienced dog parents/caretakers or have experience with shepherds. Rocky is sure to mature into the wonderful adult he is meant to be, and we are searching for a home where his humans will help guide him to reach his full potential. If you feel that could be you, we would love to hear from you - so, please submit the Safe at Last online adoption application! _____________________________________________________________________ **If you are interested, YOU NEED TO APPLY. Also, a follow-up email to [email protected] is strongly recommended. To pursue adoption, please register on www.safeatlast.net. (Click Register on the left-hand side of our homepage.) When you receive your password on your email account, please log back on to our website to complete the SAFE AT LAST on-line adoption application. (Click Forms/Application on the left-hand side of our homepage and select the Adoption Application.) Once we have your completed application, if we feel you are a good match, we will contact you by email. (So, please check your SPAM.) Our process is straightforward but involves a phone interview, reference checks and a home assessment. An adoption fee of $450, and a refundable $35 spay/neuter deposit (required by NYS law), apply. YOU CANNOT MEET OUR RESCUE ANIMALS UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO ADOPT. WE CANNOT CONSIDER YOU UNTIL YOU HAVE SUBMITTED THE FULLY FILLED OUT SAFE AT LAST ON-LINE ADOPTION APPLICATION. Delay in submitting your application will put you behind other potentially suitable applicants. Ultimately, approved adopters will be required to complete an adoption in Schoharie/Albany County. Thank you for your interest. (Sorry, we will not respond to generic "check the box," "Is he available," "Can you give me more information" inquiries.) NYS Rescue Registry No. RR 087

Adopt Rocky and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rocky's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Rocky's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Rocky, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rocky's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rocky was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rocky’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Rocky’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rocky’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
