About this Dog
Owner surrender. 14 pounds, estimated 9 years old, heartworm negative. Very much a Jack Russell personality. He’s been fostered by my (Lillie) family for a few weeks. PROS! -Dog friendly -Loves adult cats -Crate trained (loves cat beds. Toss one in his crate and he sees it as his safe place and will put himself in his crate when he is tired or overwhelmed) -Mostly house trained (when in a new place, he will hike his leg and pee. Once it’s made clear that’s not acceptable, he stops. He did it maybe 5 times in my house, and with a correction each time, it ended) -Walks great on leash -Lap dog. Really, he’s a stage 5 clinger. If you are sitting down, he’s in your lap. -Very smart and eager to please CONS -It’s best to feed him separately. He can be a little resource guardy with his food around other dogs. NEVER a problem with people. I can take his food (or toys) with no issues. -Some stranger danger. He will growl at new people. If that person kneels down to his level and allows him to get to know them, he’s fine and becomes loving quickly, allowing all the pets and even picking him up. However, that growl IS a warning. If a stranger ignores it and tries to pick him up, he will nip. (Treat him like a big dog trapped in a little body and you are golden.) -He sees small kittens as prey. I’m primarily a kitten foster and have tried working with him on this but there’s no budging here. Adult cats are friends but never kittens. He’s a fun, snuggly little man! Retiree looking for a small dog to hang out on the couch and watch TV with you? This is your guy! He also grumbles, huffs, and sighs like a cranky old man and it’s kind of adorable.

Adopt Phobos and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Phobos's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Phobos's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Phobos, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Phobos's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Phobos was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Phobos’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Phobos’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Phobos’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
