About this Cat
Approximate Date of Birth:5/20/2023 Description: In her foster home Addie (Adara) was very playful, curious and quite personable. She loved to talk. We also had her kittens & she was preoccupied with them, but as they got older she became more and more playful. Though lingering with humans was not her way (like sitting on laps), she often came and walked over my legs on her way to somewhere else. Always excited to see her foster parents and would come for greetings. Not at all afraid of contact, just didn't yet show signs of being a lap cat. But while playing she loved belly rubs and chin scratches. I could pick her up in any position and she was fine with that, but didnt want to stay being held. Her best position was with her front paws over the shoulder. She may seem a little skittish in the adoption center, but that is not how she was in her foster home. It's just not where she wants to be, she's ready for her FurEver home where she can get comfortable She was fine with the shy dog in the home and showed signs of wanting to play with the playful 5 year old cat in the home, but they didnt get a lot of time to get to know each other. She didnt see children in her foster home, would be fine with older children who know how to accept limits, not sure that she would be a cuddly companion for young children. She is more of a regal girl with a silly side, for which she would love a playmate. She spent all her waking hours playing vigorously with her kittens or chasing bouncy balls on her own. Words to Describe Me: Can take a bit of time to acclimate to new surroundings. She was playful in foster home. Played vigorously with her kittens, should good signs of wanting to play with another cat in the household. She also plays well on her own, climbing the cat tree and Favorite Place to Sleep: In a warm window. Favorite Toy: Ping Pong or Super balls that bounce for chasing. Perfect Day: Warming herself in the window, running after super balls, playing with other lively kitties Kitty's Likes: belly rubs, chin scratches, having conversations with people. Best success holding her in baby position while you scratch her back. Being played with and being talked to. Kitty's Dislikes: Be held like a baby, though she tolerates it. Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: belly rubs, kisses on the neck or cheek, chin scratches Favorite Treat: Rotisserie chicken, Luvsome licking sticks Job Title in Foster: Queen When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Audrey Hepburn Other Info: Addie just might be a lap cat someday. She's very sweet and loves people. She is very sleek and sophisticated, but has a super silly side to her, too. She's never been aggressive toward a human in any way, but does play rough when she gets going. Good with Cats: Is curious about other cats, seemed to want to play but didn't have time to get to know them well enough. Wasn't good with the grumpy cat, but possibly because she was protective of her babies. I predict she would be a wonderful playmate for another young kitten. Good with Dogs: Likes dogs given a proper introduction. Good with Children: Can live in a house with older children who are not too intrusive and are ok with rough play sometimes. She is not aggressive at all. But while playing with she lets loose a little, though she knows pretty good limits. Companion Animal: Not necessary. Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.
