About this Dog
***DFW area only-No Exceptions*** Maizie is a 6 weeks old puppy who arrived at LHS as a three week old baby after being handed to a woman by a stranger at a local Walmart. After the shock wore off, the woman who was given the puppy took her to the shelter for help. Maizie is a sweet girl who likes to play and nap. She loves to be petted, especially belly rubs, and is very affectionate. She enjoys playing with her foster sister Gina (also available for adoption!). She loves a good, fuzzy, comfy bed! Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. This puppy has not yet had two sets of shots and would not be appropriate for a home without a private potty training space at this time. Public spaces put unvaccinated puppies at high risk for severe or life threatening illnesses. Maizie is available for pre adoption meet and greets. She will be old enough to permanently join her family around 9/23/2024. Current weight 5.5 lbs Projected weight 40+ Crate training: Introduced to crate training at 6 weeks old We are requesting a donation of $325 for the adoption which includes her spay, three rounds of puppy vaccines, a rabies vaccine, microchip with registration, dewormer and a single dose of heartworm preventative. We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. If you're interested in meeting or adopting her, please complete an application on our website and someone will reach out to you within 48 hours. https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Adopter will take the puppy to an LHS approved vet to be spayed in December of 2024 per the spay/neuter agreement and in accordance to Chapter 828, Texas Health and Safety Code. *Due to the high volume of applications and inquires for puppies as well as vetting needs, we will not be able to respond to or consider interest from those outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.

Adopt Maizie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Maizie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Maizie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Maizie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Maizie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maizie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maizie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Maizie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maizie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
