About this Dog
Dot Com Guy was transferred to Valley Humane on 7/31 from the Hayward Animal Shelter. He had been found stray. Dot Com Guy weighs 14.4 pounds and is a young adult (estimated to be between 1 and 4 years old). Dot Com Guy has a grade 2/4 heart murmur. A cardiac ultrasound was performed to assess the murmur and the results indicate that this animal has chronic degenerative valve disease, stage B1. This pet has a structural cardiac abnormality but does not have clinical signs of heart failure. Dogs with this disease may remain asymptomatic for years, but will eventually develop signs of heart failure. At this time, Dot Com Guy is not showing any signs of heart failure. Currently, no medications are needed but it is recommended that you recheck a cardiac ultrasound in 12 months to see if anything has changed.
