About this Dog
WELLINGTON - 1-5 years old, 79 pounds, missing fur, heartworm positive Wellington is a big boy, nervous behind cage bars, unsure of this strange shelter environment. He arrived as a stray (who could be missing such a big boy?) so we don’t know much about him except it is taking time for him to trust us. He walked pretty well on the leash for such a strong boy but I was ready in case he saw a critter or maybe another dog, anything that could set him off. Luckily our walk was uneventful and pleasant. In the yard he just sniffed around, trooped here and there, got excited for a bit over a squeaky toy which he carried a short time. Wellington has some missing fur so please be prepared to give TLC in the form of financial (meds.) We don’t know how he feels about other dogs so bring in any resident dog and let’s see. Wellington is currently in a back kennel so if you don’t see him, please just ask!
