About this Dog
Sugar Bear, also known endearingly as "Shug,” is the definition of a big love bug! Large and in charge, Sugar Bear is a giant sweetheart who bonds whole-heartedly with his humans, and enjoys showing off his silly personality when he feels comfortable and safe. Some of his favorite activities include car rides with his head out the window, going for long, lumbering walks, and cooling off with a swim! He is seeking a family who is familiar with all the standard traits of an extra fluffy, loyal, protective, and lion-hearted Great Pyrenees. Shug is house trained, knows some basic commands like "sit,” "lay down,” and "paw,” walks well on a leash, and likes to play with cats and some dogs. - He can be selective with other pups, preferring the smaller mellow ones. Shug is a gentle giant when it comes to the elderly, listening attentively and being on his best behavior! His perfect home would be a calm one that will include pyr-ents who are home more often than not so that he can get all the attention and quality time his heart desires, plenty of fun walks, rides, and adventures to show him the good life, and maybe even a canine or feline pal, or older teenage kids who love and understand the breed. If you are seeking an XL-sized teddy bear to add to the family, Shug just may be your ticket to a life of cuddles, laughs, and love! - Written by K.P.
