About this Cat
Butch - Male DOB 1/31/2023 Domestic Short Hair Grey & White - Butch, a striking young guy not quite two years old, has been through a lot in his short life. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in North Carolina, he lived in stacked cages, often soaked in urine and feces, and spent six long months in a shelter awaiting court proceedings. Understandably, Butch was terrified when he was finally released and initially wouldn't let anyone touch him. With time, love, and patience, Butch started to warm up. His southern foster discovered that calling him "pretty boy" in a soft, baby-talk voice helped break through his tough exterior. Soon, he allowed pets and chin rubs and even started sitting on his foster mom's lap for head scratches. While he hasn't fully shown this side at the rescue yet, his transformation proves that with the right person, Butch has so much love to give. Though Butch is still learning to trust people, he has made awesome progress! He's a muscular, confident boy who doesn't always know his own strength. He gets along well with young kittens and enjoys playing with them, although he can sometimes play a little too rough. Butch tends to be more intimidating around older cats and has a strong Alpha personality, so he would do best in a home where he can either be the center of attention or live with kittens who can grow up alongside him. Butch will need someone with patience and kindness to continue helping him with his socialization. While we don't know how he would do with children, older, respectful kids may be a good fit. As for dogs, it's best for Butch to live in a home without them. He loves to play and would thrive in an environment where he feels safe, loved, and understood. If you're looking for a special cat with a big heart who needs a little extra time to trust, Butch could be your perfect match. He's been through so much and deserves a loving home where he can finally feel secure. Please apply via our easy online application at https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/

Adopt Butch and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Butch's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Butch's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Butch, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Butch's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Butch was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Butch’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Butch’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Butch’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
