About this Dog
LOCATION: Helotes, TXDOB: 08/14/2020Hello! My name is Duke, and I’m a charming Great Dane mix with a unique look—one of my eyes is a little crossed, which just adds to my charm. I was saved from the shelter just one hour before I was scheduled to be euthanized, and now I’m living my best life with my foster family.I’m working on my commands and even got into the car by myself for my last vet appointment. My foster mom was so proud of me! I’ve never seen a cat, but I love everyone and have never shown any aggression. I haven’t been around little kids, but I think I would be fine with them. I do need to be fed separately because I don’t like to share my food or bowl.I’m definitely a leaner and love to be by my people. I’m respectful of my elderly dog foster sibling and fit into the pack nicely with two female and one male dog. I can be left out of the crate since I don’t really like it, and I’m not a counter surfer—I don’t get into anything. I do need some work on the leash because I’m a bit of a puller, and I like to try to be the first out the door or up the stairs, but we’re working on that!I’m potty trained and know how to use the doggie door. I love hanging out in the backyard and sunbathing. I also love the water—playing in the hose and dunking my head in my water bucket are some of my favorite things. I’ve dipped my toes in the pool and am really interested in going in, but I haven’t quite been brave enough yet.I show no anxiety or aggression with new people and have loved meeting new friends who come over. My ideal home would have other dogs because I definitely need a pack. I like people and dogs and am very sociable. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will bring joy and laughter to your home, I’m ready to meet you! All of our Great Danes are altered, if medically possible, fully vetted, micro-chipped, and on heartworm prevention or treatment prior to being adopted. Adopt Duke and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Duke's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Duke's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Duke, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Duke's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Duke was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Duke’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Duke’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Duke’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
