About this Dog
BIRCH Male, neutered 2-1/2 years old 70 lbs Retriever mix Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heart worm prevention Birch is a very handsome boy with lots of love to give! He has a playful spirit and loves to be around people. He loves running around outside and playing keep away with his rope toys and balls, but will bring them back to you so you play longer. He can also play fetch by himself if you're not up for playing! He has moderate energy and doesn't need a yard if he's walked 2-3 times a day . Birch loves laying his head in your lap to show you how much he loves you. Since he likes to be close to his family, he'll f ind his way into a small space to lay at your feet. When his foster family goes to the basement, Birch lays at the top of the stairs with his head resting on the first step, patiently waiting for them to come back up, but if he does come down to check on them, he goes back up the stairs backwards! Birch is also a smart boy that loves meal time and treats. His food motivation and ea gerness to please mean that he knows lots of tricks, learns new ones very quickly and is excellent at waiting for commands. This good boy loves playing with other dogs and kids of all ages, making either o r both part of his ideal home. He spent the first two years of his life around an older dog and young kids and has lots of patience with them. Birch has been around a cat once a few years ago and showed no interest. He has also expressed no interest to the cats in pet stores at our adoption events, so he would do fine with dog-savvy cats with slow introductions. His dream day involves all of his meals right on time. Don't worry, he'll remind you if you're late. After breakfast, he'd spend time running around playing with his people and pack mates. After a quick nap, he's ready for a play date with friends, but early enough so not as to interfere with dinnertime. (Birch has poultry allergies and will need to be fed a poultry-free diet.) Before going to bed, he would spend time throwing his ball around the house and chasing it. Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Submit an application here!

Adopt Birch and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Birch's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Birch's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Birch, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Birch's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Birch was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Birch’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Birch’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Birch’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
