About this Cat
Well, hey there! My name is Fritz - though I also go by Disco - and it's a pleasure to meet you! I was found living near a storm drain by a wonderful family in Farmington. They rescued me from the elements and got me into Ruff Start where I joined my foster family in mid-August. I am a HUGE lovebug and a very outgoing guy. I love being near people and start purring as soon as I see one of the humans in my foster home - I want to be friends with just about everyone I meet! Playing is one of my favorite activities. I like to toss my toys up in the air then bat them down and chase them. It would be amazing if my new home had lots of toys or another kitty to play with me! My foster parents say I've got a BIG personality in a tiny package! I've done great with my litterbox and have never had an accident. The family that originally found me had three kids from ages 5-10, and I did great with all of them so I wouldn't mind having some kiddos around my new home. They also had 2 big dogs, which were a little scary for me, but I would probably do OK with a cat-savvy dog and slow introductions. Last but not least, I was found with my whiskers clipped pretty short - they are growing back, but it's a slow process! My foster parents tell me I'm still a very handsome fella! If you are looking for a guy that will keep you entertained and feeling the love, I just might be the kitty for you. Please fill out an application and let's see if we can be best friends! **Note to potential adopters: Fritz is being neutered and microchipped on Sept 5th and will be ready to go home shortly after that! Fritz was a stray. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.

Adopt Fritz and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Fritz's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Fritz's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Fritz, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Fritz's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Fritz was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Fritz’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Fritz’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Fritz’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
