About this Dog
Do you want to meet me? I will be at Unleashed Hounds and Hops (200 East Lyndale Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55405), for an adoption event Thursday, September 19th from 6:00-8:00 pm . I will be there! Please email [email protected] for questions regarding the dogs. Hey, I’m Tater Tot! I’m a 4-year-old, schnauzer-terrier mix that is definitely full of love. I may be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, you’ll see how much I enjoy being loved on and petted. I wasn’t used to getting petted and snuggled at first, but now I’m getting the hang of it—and let me tell you, it’s amazing! One of my favorite things to do is go on walks. I’m proud to say I can keep up with the best of them, although I’m still working on my leash skills. True confessions - I get a little excited when I see squirrels, people, or other dogs. Speaking of dogs, I get along with all sizes, and I’m also great with cats and kids. So, I’m a pretty chill guy all around. I came to Underdog with Heartworm but I’m doing great now. I’ve completed my heartworm treatment, so I’ll need heartworm preventatives year-round for the rest of my life. When it comes to food, I’m a pro. Breakfast and dinner are the highlights of my day, and I always finish my meals! I’m mostly potty trained, but if I don’t get outside often enough, I might have an accident. A fenced yard would be perfect for me since I’m not always keen on going potty while on a leash. At bedtime, I love curling up close to my humans and sleeping soundly through the night. I’m crate-trained, but I really love being near you. I’m mostly quiet, but when there’s excitement outside, I can’t help but let out a bark or two. If you’re looking for a sweet, active, and loving companion who’s great with the whole family (furry and human), I just might be the pup for you! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Tater Tot and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tater Tot's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Tater Tot's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Tater Tot, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Tater Tot's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tater Tot was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tater Tot’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Tater Tot’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tater Tot’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
