About this Dog
NOTE: The distinction 'guardian' is used to refer to the dogs' deceased guardian's sister, who is attempting to rehome them. Chelsea is bonded with Hobie, and their guardian would love to see them rehomed together; however, she realizes that prospect might be realistic for any given individual or family. Chelsea is 9yo, weighs 85lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped. Since Chelsea's/Hobie's caretaker is home during the day, they are not home alone; she has the run of the house. Chelsea gets nervous during thunderstorms and when she hears fireworks. Chelsea sleeps on the floor in her caretaker's room at night. Chelsea does very well during car rides. Chelsea's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her: "My brother passed away 2 years ago. His roommate and care taker still lives in his house and takes care of both dogs. Unfortunately, the house has gone into foreclosure and the roommate has to find another place to live. He's on disability and food stamps so I doubt very much he will find a place where he can take both dogs." Chelsea's guardian states the following regarding children: Although Chelsea hasn't lived with children, her guardian recommends her living with children. It is unknown how Chelsea reacts to children outside the home.
