About this Cat
NAME: Timmy BREED: DSH BIRTHDAY: April 2024 ADOPTION FEE: $120 Tiny Tim was found all alone, dragging himself from a farm on two broken legs. He had abrasions on his face and one of his ears was mangled at the tip. We weren't sure what to expect when we brought him in- he was mobile, but couldn't stand or walk for long without taking a break, and when he did walk or sit it was with some difficulty. X-rays showed partially healed trauma to both back legs, broken in the same direction like he was stepped on or run over, but there were no open wounds or missing fur on his legs. We were left with more questions than answers, and were advised to wait until Timmy was a bit older to explore surgical options. Pain medicine kept him comfortable and helped him live the normal life of a kitten. In foster care, he has won the hearts of the older cats and even the dogs, who are allowed supervised visits with the little guy. His best friend is last year's remaining kitten from our shed, who is fully grown but petite and very playful. Timmy got bigger and started to look more like a normal kitten, needing fewer breaks and eventually less pain medication. We assumed he was just getting used to his condition, but recent x-rays showed major improvement to both of his legs: at this point, it doesn't look like Timmy will need surgery at all! Our vet advised us to make sure Timmy is kept at a healthy weight, to avoid adding stress to his abnormal legs. He may eventually need pain medications and palliative care, as he is more likely to develop arthritis especially in the worst of his legs. His new family will need to monitor his condition and be prepared to work with their vet to ensure Timmy has the best quality of life. Timmy doesn't know he's different than the other kittens, and he has made even more friends here in foster care. He loves to run, climb, and play, and he's very friendly and affectionate with people. As with all of our kittens, Timmy will need to be adopted to a home with one of his friends unless there is already a young friendly cat in the home. He is used to being around many friends, and we are committed to giving him the best and happiest life possible! Timmy is fully vetted!

Adopt Timmy and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Timmy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Timmy's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Timmy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Timmy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Timmy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Timmy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Timmy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Timmy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
