About this Dog
Want to meet me? Come to the Orvis (5001 Excelsior Blvd, St Louis Park, MN 55416) for an Adoption Event on the patio - Saturday, September 21st from 12:00-2:00 pm. Please email [email protected] for questions regarding the dogs. Hi, I’m Charlene! I’m a 5-year-old Japanese Chin, and I weigh just 6 pounds—so I’m a petite little lady! My tail is always wagging, especially when I’m with my favorite people or playing with my doggy friends. I’m still getting used to all the exciting things in a house, but I’m making great progress. At home, I’m quiet, playful, and a little bit silly! I love running around the backyard and chasing tennis balls, it’s so much fun! I’ve also been working on mastering stairs, and I’m proud to say I’ve got it down! I prefer to have a nice, fenced backyard since I’m still learning about leashes and sometimes get nervous around new things. A fenced yard is required. I’m a little fearful of thunderstorms, loud noises, and big commotions, but I feel safe when I’m with my pack. Speaking of packs, I would love a home with another small dog who can be my buddy. I am doing great with crate training. We are working on potty training, I am getting better everyday and we can keep practicing together in my forever home. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly girl who’s learning to love the world, I’d love to meet you! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***

Adopt Charlene and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Charlene's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Charlene's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Charlene, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Charlene's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Charlene was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Charlene’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Charlene’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Charlene’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
