About this Cat
Hi! We're Hobbes and Calvin and boy oh boy do we have an incredible story for you! We were found outside and taken to the Peninsula Humane Society. Sadly no one was looking for us so our journey to finding our furever family began. We were adopted but just a few months later, our previous family decided they didn’t want us anymore . They asked that someone from the shelter pick us up from our home but when the person from the shelter arrived, I was nowhere to be found. I had managed to get out of the house and our previous family didn't even notice. Calvin was taken back to the shelter without me and I later found out he was very distressed being back there without me. Thankfully Give Me Shelter offered to help Calvin by getting him out of the stressful shelter environment and giving him a safe and loving foster home where he could try to decompress. Then something incredible happened! About a week after Calvin left for his foster home, I was found by a Good Samaritan and taken to the shelter! Hurray! I was a little beat up and had a couple minor wounds that were treated but overall, I was okay, whew! Fortunately, the shelter knew Give Me Shelter wanted to reunite us so the shelter made a very important phone call and now I’m back with Calvin! I’m a friendly, affectionate, and playful kitty. It can take me a few days to begin warming up in new environments but I’ve gone through some big changes these past several months and I just want to make sure it’s safe to open up and reveal my loving purrsonality. I’m the more confident one and lead the way with Calvin by my side. Once I’m feeling comfy in my new environment, my curiosity kicks in and before you know it I’ll be walking around checking everything out and head bumping for pets. I’m still getting used to all of the new noises and am sometimes startled by the loud ones but who isn’t, right? We both love spending time with humans and receiving attention from them. We’ll ask for pets and cuddle up next to you so it’s easier for you to give us attention, yes, we’re very thoughtful. When we aren’t relaxing in the sun or by the window, we like to play! We have lots of fun playing together and we’re excited to play with all of our new toys. We also love to play with our humans, especially when a wand toy is involved. Whether I’m batting a toy around, chasing a wand toy, or wrestling with Calvin, I have lots of fun playing! We're looking for a quieter home with loving humans who know it will take us a little time to open up. Will you give us your patience, love and some sunny spots for naps? We purromise we're worth all of this and more! You can see more of us in our foster home here @tunaluvr. Adopt Hobbes and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Hobbes's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Hobbes's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Hobbes, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Hobbes's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hobbes was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hobbes’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Hobbes’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hobbes’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
