About this Dog
Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact (Current Owner of Dog): MEET TANUKI !! Tanuki is about 12 years old. We believe she is a Terrier Corgi mix and is a little bit overweight probably close to 30 lbs or so. We got Tanuki as a puppy from a family on craigslist. We named her Tanuki because she looks like a raccoon dog. We also call her Nuki or Tanu. We are looking to find her a new calmer home and environment with a family or individual who has the time to spoil her in her senior years. Tanuki injured her back and was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral disc disease) about 5 years ago. She was paralyzed in her hind legs and could not walk. At that time she had a bad prognosis and the vets urged us to euthanize but we did not want to give up on her. With lots of patience, care, laser therapy, physical therapy, use of a wheelchair, acupuncture and various medications we were able to get her to full recovery and is able to walk and run again! Due to the IVDD she does need to take it easy and not jump up and down on furniture or overexert herself. If she does overdo it we notice her back gets painful for a few days. She loves to run and take walks but has slowed down a lot and gets tired easily at her age. She is not very active which has contributed to her weight gain. She is kennel trained however has never used a dog door. She has been around other dogs and cats but as she has gotten older she doesn't really tolerate them anymore. Same goes for young children unfortunately. When meeting new people she is timid and cautious especially around men. When we have our parents watch her she is an angel and just likes to follow them around and lay at their feet. As for bad habits, she does tend to get possessive over toys and her food and will growl if you try to get close to her bowl or try to take a toy away from her. She loves toys and beds but will rip them up if left alone or in her kennel. She also developed the habit of eating poop, however if it is cleaned up fairly quickly this isn't an issue. She is also a big licker. She does alert you when people come to the door. Leash trained, Crate trained, Does well in a car, Likes toys, Protective/territorial, Timid/shy If you are interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website for our online application www.underdogaz.com PLEASE NOTE: This dog is courtesy posted for another individual or Rescue. Adopt TANUKI and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, TANUKI's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is TANUKI's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the TANUKI, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming TANUKI's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and TANUKI was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, TANUKI’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the TANUKI’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, TANUKI’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
