About this Dog
Meet Eggs, or Eggsy if you’re friends, a charming 5-year-old poodle/maltese mix with a personality as big as his heart! Eggs is blind in one eye. You will need to be careful not to catch him off guard and startle him. He needs to be approached head on. Eggs is an affectionate little guy and he loves nothing more than curling up beside you for belly rubs and snuggles. He’s crate trained, does well in the car, and enjoys playing fetch and with toys. Eggsy likes to be the leader of the pack when it comes to other dogs. He needs a few days to warm up to new dog friends, but once he does, he’s all about playtime. He’s best suited for a home with a submissive dog or as the only pet. He’s not a fan of larger dogs and can be selective with his doggy pals. While Eggsy may bark at unfamiliar dogs and people, he quickly settles down. Recently neutered, his humping behavior is improving, and with his heartworm treatment, he's not going on too many walks just yet. Eggsy is a goofy, protective, and playful little man looking for a home where he can be the center of attention. If you’re ready for a loyal companion who will keep you entertained and loved, Eggsy might just be your perfect match! Eggs is from Texas. One big thing you should know is they are heartworm positive - but please don’t let that scare you away from adopting them! After they undergo treatment for their condition they will be completely healthy again, and heartworm is not a contagious disease. Because they need treatment, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) program. Click here to learn more about this program. They will get heartworm treatment at one of Ruff Start’s partner veterinary clinics in St. Cloud, so their foster will need to be comfortable getting them to and from the appointments. Treatment will consist of three injections: the first will be roughly 30 days after they enter rescue. Then, the second and third injections will happen 30 days after the first. When they are undergoing treatment, they should be on activity ‘restrictions’ which just means they should relax in their crate or cuddle with you. Click here to learn more about heartworm disease, which is transmitted by mosquitoes. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.

Adopt Eggs and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Eggs's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Eggs's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Eggs, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Eggs's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Eggs was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Eggs’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Eggs’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Eggs’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
