About this Cat
Hi everyone! I’m a gentle giant named El Capitan, (named after a famous mountain that is part of Yosemite National Park). Like the mountain, I am beautiful and sturdy, gentle and lovingly natural, but also somewhat dangerous, if you’re not careful. I was found as a feral, but I was definitely a pampered pet at one time - one who still enjoys belly rubs! For whatever reason, I was dumped into my future Foster’s neighborhood - in a new place without any support! Since I was un-neutered, I had to fight to exist. (This was true whether I succeeded in mating or not.) I survived for at least a year there, with most people chasing me away. I learned to fight - and I caught FIV. Now in loving foster care, I am back to the sweet boy I was meant to be, but with the caveat that I might bite. (Usually gently, unless I get spooked.) I am a super-special guy though, and I know my purrfect human(s) are out there! If you are patient and gentle, I would love to meet you!

Adopt El Capitan and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, El Capitan's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is El Capitan's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the El Capitan, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming El Capitan's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and El Capitan was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, El Capitan’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the El Capitan’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, El Capitan’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
