About this Cat
When we or any other rescue or shelter adopt an animal out ( in our case cats and kittens) we all hope we are sending them off to their forever home and that it is a truly forever home. Adopting an animal should be a lifelong commitment. In Darkmode’s case , he wasn’t that lucky : We trapped this young man in Trenton (we think he is around 3 now) last June. It was really obvious he had a hard time on the street and had likely been beaten up by other cats (he has some scarring on his head), as a result he doesn’t like other cats. We were thrilled that he got adopted to a home last September with no other cats and were hopeful he was going off to his “happily ever after”. We were contacted by his adopters , 10 months after he was adopted, that they had purchased a home in a community that does not allow pets, so if we didn’t take him back immediately, they were just going to dump him in a shelter. This wasn’t a “had to move situation” due to a hardship, this was a deliberate home purchase with no thought about the cat they adopted. So now this young man ,who has already been through so much, needs what is likely his third home. He loves every person he meets the moment he meets them. Despite how his luck has been his three years of life, he has maintained his sunny, friendly and affectionate personality. We’re looking for a person/people to adopt Darkmode who will truly love him and consider him part of the family. Besides loving and taking care of him, Darkmode’s only other requirement is that he be an only cat. He deserves the best home ever. He also wants everyone to know he is much handsomer in person, his pictures don't do him justice. If you'd like to meet this cat or think this cat would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt!

Adopt Darkmode and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Darkmode's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Darkmode's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Darkmode, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Darkmode's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Darkmode was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Darkmode’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Darkmode’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Darkmode’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
