About this Dog
“Leonard is a really good dog”, are the words uttered by everyone who has spent time with Lenny. He’s a friendly and happy boy who enjoys meeting people and other dogs. He’s also a gentle boy who knows not to jump up on people (although he sometimes can’t help himself if he gets super excited), so I think he’d also do fine around young children. While Leonard does pretty good on walks with no reactivity issues, he can pull a bit at the start due to excitement. His prey drive seems to be limited to things he can chase. He ignores turkeys, but, boy, does he think that rabbits look fun to chase. Based on his desire to chase, I’d say cats are a big NO for this guy. Leonard is a good-natured boy who loves to run and play and have fun. I think he would love another dog buddy. He gets along well with all my dogs as well as every foster or guest doggo that has come to stay with us. One of the reasons Lenny gets along so well with other dogs is that he will mirror their playstyle. He even accommodates my older dogs by adopting a very gentle playstyle when interacting with them. He’s a young and smart dog who does best when his physical and mental needs are met. He enjoys going on walks and exploring the outdoors. He also LOVES to run, whether it’s playing chase with other dogs around the park or jogging with you around a lake. If he’s running, he’s happy. Oh, and he loves water! He thinks splashing in the kiddie pool is a blast. He doesn’t seem to know how to swim yet but we’re working on it! Leonard does best in a kennel when he is home alone, otherwise he’ll likely get into things. He will sometimes bark in protest when I leave the house so a home with shared walls would probably not be a good fit. If you’re active and looking for an adventure buddy, then Lenny might be your boy! Leonard was an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. Adopt Leonard and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Leonard's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Leonard's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Leonard, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Leonard's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Leonard was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Leonard’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Leonard’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Leonard’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
