About this Dog
COURTESY LISTING - Please contact person below with inquiries. ~2.5 years old. Good with kids and dogs. Cats TBD. Scott Spencer Charlotte, NC [email protected] Date Posted: 07/27/24 Kinley is a 2.5 years old energetic and extremely loving Dutch Shepherd! She wants to be your best friend, share every adventure with you, and give you lots of kisses. She is looking for a home with lots of engagement and activity! She loves hiking and swimming, playing tug of war or soccer, any kind of fetch, and lots of cuddling when it is time to relax. She always prefers to be within five feet of her humans and tends to follow me around the house, but is fine entertaining herself chewing on antlers or napping. Her current routine is 3 mile run alongside my bike each morning, a 30 walk in the afternoon, and another hour of running, playing in the creek, or walking in the evening. She is crate trained and house trained and has great basic obedience (sit, down, place, and touch) as well as on and off leash recall (probably because she loves being around her humans so much). We've done lots of training with professionals and practice at home. She has never destroyed or chewed anything other than her toys. She is very smart, treat motivated, and highly motivated to learn the expectations and do the right thing. She is spayed, up to date on all of her vaccinations, on flea/tick preventatives, and has had no health issues so far. Kinley loves kids and has spent lots of time around infants, toddlers, and kids of all ages– but will be most successful in a home without children under 16. She has some on-leash reactivity when large or aggressive dogs are in her space but has learned great engage-disengage skills. She has had some bad experiences with dogs, so can get overwhelmed in big dog parks and requires a bit of intentional introductions to meet new friends (she is muzzle trained). She does great with 1:1 or smaller group playdates with her puppy friends that vibe with her strong personality and rambunctious play style. We are located in Charlotte, NC and willing to travel regionally if that helps place her with the right forever home. I have a lot of dog supplies and toys I will happily donate to make her transition more seamless. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.
