About this Dog
Forever home wanted!!!! Meet Dee Jay!!!! Dee Jay (responds to “Jax” in his foster home) is a sweet, active one-year-old 70 pound Husky/Border Collie mix who doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Like all young dogs, Dee Jay loves his activity, including walks and playing with his toys (he's a huge fan of chasing and playing with balls- his foster says he thinks he's a soccer player), but also is able to take naps and lie around. He is also a silly guy, and likes to lay down while eating his food. He is a very sweet boy, and would do well in an active home with lots of outings and adventures. He is currently fostered in a home without a yard, and the foster family feels that he would benefit from space to roam around and get his zoomies out. He is dog and people friendly, but is still working on not jumping up on people to say hello. Dee Jay is house trained and takes his treats very gently. He knows commands like sit, down, and stay. He loves belly rubs and is looking for a family that is committed to exercise, training, and socialization to help him grow into the best dog possible. Prior to his current foster, Dee Jay and his sister landed at a local shelter at just a year old. When their “family” didn’t reclaim them, Dee Jay’s sister was adopted by a member of the public. Sadly Dee Jay was left behind for some unexplained reason. At the shelter Dee Jay quickly became a volunteer favorite and the “dog greeter” for the new scare dogs entering the shelter system. But like all dogs in the shelter, even Dee Jay overstayed his time there and became “at risk” for euthanasia solely due to the shelter’s space needs. When we heard about Dee Jay we knew we had to act. Dee Jay is now safe with us and ready to find a real family this time around. If Dee Jay sounds like the right dog for your family email [email protected] or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org Dee Jay is located in Southern California.

Please begin the process of claiming Dee Jay's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. We want the Dee Jay’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dee Jay’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
