About this Dog
Animal Profile: Navy is an estimated 1yr old 85 lb neutered male shepherd lab mix who was a stray intake to the high-kill San Bernardino city shelter and not claimed. The shelter assessed him to be friendly with people and other dogs, and comfortable with handling with no medical or behavior flags, however he was euth listed for space after a long stay over one month in the shelter. This resilient boy got a one-way ticket to Seattle and will be joining Dog Gone Seattle on July 28. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Update: Navy is a sweet, gentle boy who loves attention! He is very smart, inquisitive, and playful. Though he doesn't live with kids in his foster home, he's been very sweet and gentle when meeting kids. Despite his large size, he is definitely still a puppy. He has a lot of energy outside and loves to run and play, but is able to relax and be calm inside. He is progressing well on his house and leash manners, has mastered sit, and is working on new commands in his foster home. Navy is potty trained with a regular schedule and is doing well with crate training, though he does prefer to have his people around. Given his size and puppy nature we think Navy will do best in a single family home with a fenced yard and may benefit from another balanced dog in his home to help show him the doggy ropes. Large breed experience preferred. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, heartworm test if 6 months or older, microchip with lifetime registration, and health certificate. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application< Animal History: Navy was picked up as a stray in southern California and taken to the high-kill San Bernardino city shelter where he was placed on the euthanasia list for space. He was pulled by our partner ARF and boarded until foster placement was secured, and will be transported to Seattle arriving 7/28/24. He will be available for adoption to the greater Seattle area after evaluated in foster care.

Adopt Navy and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Navy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Navy's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Navy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Navy's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Navy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Navy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Navy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Navy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
